We invite you to join us and our friends from Bluemont Connection for a Veteran's Day gravel ride starting in Middleburg, VA, at 10:00 am on Monday, November 11. We will do our best to maintain a 13-15 average mph pace and ask those who attend to be comfortable riding on loose gravel surfaces, have a positive attitude, and ride within your abilities.

We're offering two route options, an "A" route that's 53 miles with approximately 4,000 ft of elevation and a "B" route that's 31 miles and over 2,000 ft of elevation. A and B riders will follow the same route for the first 31 miles north of town, with the B riders finishing back in Middleburg while the A riders continue on a loop to the south of town.

We'll meet and start at Market Salamander, 200 W. Washington St., Middleburg, VA 20117. Please be considerate of Market Salamander by not parking in their lot, which has limited spaces, and instead park on the surrounding streets.

We'll meet at 9:30 a.m. and be ready to roll out at 10:00 a.m. Riders are responsible for getting themselves to and from the start/finish.

A gravel or cyclocross bicycle with 33mm or wider tires is strongly recommended and all riders are required to have two functioning brakes, wear a helmet, and have the route download to your gps device. Headphone use is not permitted. While ride leaders will be on hand and we'll do our best to accommodate everyone, you should be prepared to navigate the route on your own if necessary. Your bicycle should be in good mechanical condition and you should have the necessary items and the ability to repair a flat, have fully changed electronics and a smartphone to ensure you're able to make your way back to the start if you get separated from the group.
